I am making an elmo cake today. I have the worst time mixing colors. I am using the red gel. What color do I add to deepen the red? It's red, but more pink. I would like it to be a darker red.

And black....ugh.I used chocolate BC and it still looks grey.HELP!!

If you colour the icing pink first so you dont need as much red.. then I use wiltons no taste red until its nearly a red colour but i find it needs to set over night for the colour to take a little better the black is the same but colour it up a dark brown first so you dont have to use as much black.. Hope this helps icon_redface.gif
