Ganache, fillings you can buy in the sleeve-there's two off the top of my head! I'll have to think some more.

you can vary you BC recipe by adding anything to make a filling try chocalte iceing and instant coffee to make a moca, add peanut butter to the icing try numerous different flavorings such as rum lemon strawberry make your icing fluffier and add a little more water to thin things down a bit

Don't know if you have a Smart & Final or Cash & Carry in your area, but they carry packaged fillings, i.e. strawberry, raspberry, etc. They are absolutely delicious.

How do you make the BC fluffier? I was thinking of adding chopped marachino(sp) cherries to some for a filling.

icon_surprised.gif OMG!

Shheeeesh with the fillings! I just got finished with 6 tiny sample cakes for a bride. EACH ONE has 3 tiny layers, and two DIFFERENT kinds of fillings. GAH! SOOOOO much work and clean up--you'd have thought I did petit fours. tapedshut.gif They're in my gallery.

I understand what you mean about good fillings that aren't needing refrigeration, though! icon_cool.gif

You might try those "Snak Pak" type puddings--they're thick and creamy and don't need the icebox! thumbs_up.gif

Hope this helps,
--Knox--

ladycakes has some wonderful fillings. I am not sure about which ones require refridgeration but you could look through them.

Have you tried the chocolate fudge buttercream from this site as a filling? It's yummy-I used homemade hot fudge in it-SO GOOD! I'm sure it would be terrific with Hershey's hot fudge or Smuckers too.

I don't have a KA but my hand mixer has a wisk attachment. That should work...? Thanks.
