Photofilte..how Do I Erase The Background In Photo??

I downloaded Photofilte as I heard it is really easy to use...I want to try and erase the ugly background in my photos.How and which tools do I use??

i never figured out how to erase.. But you can blur the background.. at the right make sure you choose the arrow.. Then right click and hold down and mark the area you want worked on.. then go to the right and click the blur button, and blur out the background.. Works out great..

This is one way to remove the background/crop the image...

But I use the polygon drawing tool to trace around the image. To get to that tool, click on the white arrow and look at the shapes/tools in the box below. The polygon is right next to the open folder. Click on that and use it to outline the part of the pic you want to crop out, small segments at a time. After you've outlined it all, right click on the outlined image and select copy. Then paste it into a new blank or prettier background.
