Roll out a strip of fondant (about 1/8 of an inch thick) and then fold it lengthwise so that it's still the same length but half as wide (does that make sense)? Then roll from one end to the other gradually loosening the roll as the flower gets larger. Cut off then end and fold the edge under. You can trim the flower to desired height. The size will depend on the size of ribbon you cut. Hope this helps (makes sense).
