[size=24][size=18]Can anyone tell if it is possible to color confectioner's sugar? I have tried paste color . . . no luck.
I bought some from Wms-Sonoma and it was sky high! I got to thinking that I could do it myself . . . if only I knew how.
Any suggections?

You want the colored powdered sugar to dust on things? I thing she's right about the powdered color - I would mix a bit of it with the color to get what your desire...
Or you could use the premade colored sprinkles/sugars. I know at my Michael's and even Wal-Mart they are carrying more and more items like that.
Not sure what you would be doing with the colored powder sugar.....maybe for decoration??????? and I am not sure if this would work but it may be worth a try. You can color regular sugar by dropping in coloring and mixing it up.....just maybe you can then run the colored sugar through a food processor and turn it into a powdered form. You may have to adjust the color a bit but it could be worth a try.
