is a dimly lit reception hall!!!!!!!!!!
I think my cake is magazine worthy in the evening.....but in the morning when I get up and look at it, I see flaws everywhere!
Thank goodness most halls don't have bright lights! ugh! ![]()
I sooo agree with you.
I also try not to use a flash when taking pictures of my wedding cakes. It seems that the flash just highlights all the flaws on the cake.
It's amazing how great a cake can look in the dim light. It's hard to compete with the beautiful cakes in the magazines. Especially when they have the option of airbrushing flaws away before it makes it into the magazine.
People are the same you know, Why do you think we like candlelit rooms for romance? it makes us look better! LOL

I just dread the wedding pictures of the cake. I know that the cake looks good in the dimmer light, but I would hate to get a call from a bride after she gets her pictures back and has time to look at the cake up close.
That's never happened to me and I pray that it NEVER does, but that's all I can think about when I am doing a wedding cake....make it look good for the pictures!
You got that right! LOL If they'd use candle light in dressing rooms I'd buy bras and bathing suits more frequently!
Let's all remember that WE know where each little flaw is on our cakes but others don't see them. Well, thse of us who HAVE them.
You would think, with all the market strategies they have for getting us to buy things that they would have figured it out that dimmer or natural light would make us buy more! Hmmm... a natural light or dimmer light for bras and swimming suits is an ExCELLENT idea... especially swimsuites..
Hmmm... doesn't Victoria Secrets have dimmer lights? I bet that's why! (Like I can buy from there! (too big in all aspects!)
