I just tried something new yesterday and really liked the results. I had been using Crisco's flour spray for my pans but the cakes kept pulling away from the sides of the pans too much. I tried a recipe that I saw here once...you use 1 part crisco, 1 part oil and 1 part flour. I applied it to the sides and the bottom and the cake baked evenly and the cake baked filled all the way to the sides. You might want to give it a try. ![]()
what i do is just spray the bottom of pan with pam and put wax paper then spray again and it comes out perfectly....... is that what you do?
I use both, but I make my own pan grease using equal parts flour,Crisco and oil.
I love cake release!! If you use the right amount{which is alot} all your cakes will come out perfectly.
Personally, I prefer to use both. I love the quick release spray. I use the spray to keep from destroying my cakes when I turn them out and use the parchment to keep my cakes from getting browned.
Shashonda, I did use the bake even strips. The cake came out perfect. HTH. ![]()
