I am sure it is possible but when you cut tiers down you lose servings. What specifics are you wondering?

I am just wondering if I can make that style cake that large. Or should I just make it a 4 or 5 tier then do separate sheet cakes or a couple of 8 or 10" rounds. Just not all that familiar with this style.

I say do cakes that are decorated like the main cake, but not on the cake. A cake to feed that many people would be just huge for a mad hatter cake. If you're doing round, I would to round cakes for the other cakes to make up for servings.

What method of whimsy--Are you thinking of wedges or the cc method that is posted?

You can add a wedge of Styrofoam to get the angle between layers. I just stack them crooked and dowel in the middle. I ried the cc method once and I did not think it was my cup of tea. I do lots of whimy cakes-not all crooked but whimsy!

I do not have a photo of the cake I did but I used flowers to cover the styrofoam.
I have a small cake that is a 6" and 4" that is crooked and I just cut thje cakes angled and stacked like normal with dowels.
Thanks for looking at my site!

Does anyone have a scale or chart that you use to determine the amount of slices you will get out of a mad hatter tier? Are they the same as the wilton book round cakes?
