Has anyone here used the plaque cutters? I think JEM and Orchard products makes them. I am trying to figure out what they are used for. Thanks!

I purchased one, but haven't used it. I thought it was going to be much smaller that it was. For the way that I decorate, haven't found a use for it yet. May have to put it up for sale on e-Bay.

Yes I've used them. Basically you cut a plaque out of gumpaste and let it dry. You then decorate the plaque however you want, usually with a message or a picture. When you make the cake at the last minute the plaque can be placed on top. It's a way of preparing something in advance so you're not so rushed preparing the cake and afterwards the plaque can be liftrd off and kept as a momento

Thanks for your replies. I thought it was something used for the monogram wedding cakes. I've seen them with what looks to be a plaque with the monogram on it. I don't think I would use one for the top though...Thanks again for the info! icon_smile.gif
