I've never cut a whole ball cake before, so I'd be curious to know as well. I think if I were guessing I'd kind of cut into the top "half" , if you will. So I'd have half of the ball left w/ the cake exposed and icing left on the bottom half. THen just start sectioning off that bottom half of cake. Does this make sense?
