I haven't tried that extender yet but if you want to add banana pudding, another option is just to add the box of pudding and an extra egg to the mix ingredients.

I have a super dumb question. What is the reason for an extender? Is it similar to doctoring? I get what doctoring is. I do it all of the time.

Not a dumb question icon_smile.gif

By using extenders, you are doctoring a mix.

I use the extender recipe with all my cakes PLUS I add 1 small box of instant pudding (flavor of my choice).

oops, I thought it was for when you needed more than a box but less than 2 of mix.
