I am in need for a recipe for M&M Cookies. If the grocery store carries M&M's in a bag that are red, white, & blue, I was planning on making them for July 4th.

All recipes for M&M Cookies are greatly appriciated.

Honestly, I just use my chocolate chip recipe and replace the choc. chips with M&Ms.

I'm still searching for the best Choc. chip recipe though, but if you have your fave it will definitely work!

golfgirl1227--

So I could use any of my fav recipes and just add the M&M's to it?

Would it taste yummy, if I used my fav sugar cookie recipe?

Write back soon

M&Ms taste good with everything (except maybe pork chops!). I prefer M&Ms in my chocolate chip cookie recipe; but I'm sure it will work with your sugar cookies (I've only put the M&Ms on top of the sugar cookie and it works nicely for designs and taste).

Sorry I didn't check back sooner. I too prefer them with a CC cookie recipe than with sugar cookies, but I've had them that way as well. It's just your preference.

Here is one I got from a girlfriend of mine. The cookies are soft, but yummy.

Sour Cream M&M Cookies Recipe

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Bag of M&M's

Heat oven to 375° F.
In large mixing bowl, combine sugars, sour cream, butter, oil, and vanilla until well blended and fluffy. Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until soft dough forms. Stir in chocolate pieces.
Drop dough onto prepared cookie sheets approximately 2 inches apart. The drops should be approximately 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons in size.
Bake for 9 minutes or until the cookies are slightly brown.

You can double this recipe in a snap!
