Ok i tried getting help on the other post but couldnt get one so imma make a new topic.
This is my first cake order. Its for a lady at works daughters 11th birthday. She is wanting the cake that is shown but only wants the bottom tier..doesnt want 2 tiers. I am very very unsure as to how much to charge her. She will be serving appr. 30 people. She just wants regular icing on the cake but the flowers i am guessing are gonna have to be fondant/gumpaste (dont know how to do these yet). Also how big should the cake pans be to get appr. 30 people? Any help is greatly appreciated..

Here's the chart from CC that shows how many servings for different size/shape cakes: http://www.cakecentral.com/article14-Cake-Baking-Cutting--Serving-Guide---2-in-Deep-Pans.html
For a round cake, 4" high to serve 30 people, I will use a 9" cake.
The flowers on the picture look like they are buttercream or royal icing. Fondant/gumpaste flowers will look different than what is shown.
I too just started decorating and selling my cakes. Pricing always seems to be a big concern. People have suggested I either charge by the number of people you are serving ($2.5-$4 per serving) on regular bc cakes and anything addional such us gumpaste or fondant flowers are extra. Or take the cost of your products and pay yourself $20 an hour
.
see: www.cakeboss.com it might help when it comes to pricing your cakes.
good luck all and happy baking.
I'm not going to help much with pricing, but I agree that those look like drop flowers, don't they? That'll help with the difficulty, they are fairly easy to make. The leaves look like just standard leaves too. I would guess buttercream because of how shiny they are-my royal always dries matte.
