I found a recipe on here for crusting butter cream. Will this icing be easy to use to make decorations on the cake.

Thanks,
Kim

I haven't used that particular recipe, but most crusting buttercreams will allow you to decorations. You may have to add more powdered sugar for decorations that need a stiffer icing such as roses. Also, you may have to add a little (drops at a time) water to thin the icing down a bit if you are doing something like dots. All in all, though, the recipe will probably work, just remember you may have to adjust the consistency of the icing to make it work for your specific decorations.
