I had an edible image made for a cake I am making tonight. My only question is do I need to do any special preperation to the image or cake before I put it on the cake?

Thanks so much in advance for your help.

You'll want to keep the image sealed airtight and out of direct light until you're ready to use it.

What kind of icing are you using?

I am using the whipped cream icing recipe from CC site.

If it's made using primarily fresh whipping cream or non-dairy topping, you'll want to put the image on as close to serving time as possible. The high water content in these types of icings can cause the image to fade or colors to run.
