Ok, I am still kinda new at the whole cake thing...... I have alway just made a cake using the box mixes and I really like them better than making them from scratch. I keep hearing of how people put different flavors in their cakes like white chocolate and other flavors. So I was wanting to know you you guys would share so of different flavors you can put in cakes to make them extra yummy! Also, flavors for icings for fillings would be nice too! What ever you would like to share!!

Thanks for all the ideas!

Hi! I have used the liquid coffee creamers to add flavor to my cakes. For instance the recipe calls for 1 1/3 C of water, so I use about 2/3 C of liquid coffee creamer and the rest in milk. I have used White Chocolate Raspberry with a white cake and a chocolate cake. I have use Pralines and Cream and Southern Butter Pecan coffee creamer both with a white cake mix.

I have used up to 4 oz of melted white chocolate in my cakes and you can use white or chocolate cake mix.

You can use different puddings - small box of instant pudding to add moistness and flavor to your cakes.

I have also used Pina Colada mix in place of the water. This is non alcoholic mix in liquid form.

Add a box of instant pudding and an extra egg to a box mix. This will allow you to be creative with cake flavors as there are quite a few varieties of instant pudding.
