Hi everyone,

I'm hosting a birthday bbq for my husband and daughter. My husband will be 36 and my daughter will be 2. Any ideas for a cake that I can do for the both of them?

Thanks for any and all suggestions!

I will put my thinking cap on. I just don't want your post to go unanswered, so I will be back with some ideas.

Could you do something like tiara for a princess and crown for a king. Then maybe work around the theme and colors from that.

Hope this helps, God Bless,
Sharon

Maybe dad and daughter in a "swimming" pool? Fishing together? Incorporate your daughter into one of your husbands favorite past times?

Well, I didn't find much.....I don't know what they enjoy doing, so it is hard to think of some ideas.....How big of a party are you having? I was thinking you could make two 13 x 9s and decorate one that he would like and one that she would like. Sorry I am not that helpful!

Thank you so much for the ideas so far. It's a bbq party, so it will be outdoors.

I'm thinking to draw a picture of Blue (Blue's clues) and get a picture of daddy that you can laminate and put on the cake. Put a paw print on Daddy's picture. Write "Do you see a clue? (girl's name) is 2 ... and it's daddy's (or his name) birthday too!"

If you do the Blue cake, please post a pic. Two-year-olds love Blue.

Maybe a sheet cake set up to look like a backyard with grass etc... sculpt a grill, with little burgers and hotdogs, a picnic table with a little tiny birthday cake on it, maybe volleyball, make a little cement looking area with hopscotch and have little girl lying on the ground and make it look like she is colring with chalk., maybe a little kiddie pool, maybe have 3-D trees, and have the mini backyard decorated with little decorations like streamers and party hats! im excited just thinking about the possibilities!
