NEED YOU CC'RS HELP, I MIXED UP SOME CK GUMPASTE MIX PER DIRECTIONS, LET IT SIT FOR 24 HOURS, AND WHEN I WENT TO MAKE THE ROSE BASE, IT WAS WET LIKE, NOT HOLDING ITS SHAPE AND THE WIRE COMING THRU WHEN IT SITS, I PUT IT ALL BACK INTO A BOWL AND ADDED MORE POWDER, HOPEFULLY ITS GOING TO BE MORE
STIFFER NOW, HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND DID I DO THE RIGHT THING? HOPEFULLY I WON'T HAVE TO BUY MORE MIX AND START OVER, THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.
When I use the mix I use 1 cup of mix to 1 Tbl of warm water and it's usually the correct consistency. However, your weather can change it. Adding powdered sugar should be OK. But it doesn't stiffen the more it rests, so it should be only slightly soft when your done mixing and let it sit overnight.
