Does anyone here know how to make a sewing box cake? My mom's birthday is coming up and I would love to be able to give her this kind of cake. I have seen one in the gallery that looked like an open sewing box with tools in it but i can't find it anymore. So I am hoping someone could give me an idea on how to do this kind of cake. thank you
Do your cake like a box cake, but more rectangle like. A9x13 maybe. Then just make a lid like the box cakes and you could prop it open with spools, and a needle, thread bobbins and a pin cushion on the cake board in front would be darling. You could basket weave the sides and even on top of the top to the basket to complete the look. Hope I was some what helpful
