This is for my sisters job, they are letting go of 2 girls. (the girls already know, tomorrow is their last day)
Any suggestions would be great!
She asked me to make something similar to this cake in my photos:

thanks!

A cake like that looks lovely.

I don't really think there is an appropriate theme or saying for a cake that basically says sorry about firing you. LOL

I did a "we'll miss Ewe" cake...I modeled sheep but you could cut them out from fondant and pipe on the wooley coat and make a scene of them...there is a sign that said "new pastures" and it pointed away from the sheep...

you could add pretty summery flowers and borders...I think it would look great as a sheet cake with just cut outs...it is green and in my photos if you are interested in that...
edited to add the link...

I made a beehive with "you'll bee missed" You could do it on a sheet cake if you need more cake and use summery flowers... here's the link:

Maybe you can do something like this cake:

And write on there "when one door closes, another one opens"

I like the greener pastures idea. It may help them feel like being "let go" is better for them than the company! In my experience, the next job is always better!

Lovely cake. It is elegant and understated enough given the situation the women are in, but expresses they will be missed. I'm sure it will lift their spirits somewhat and add to their strength in what could be a difficult time.

That looks very classy. Can you tell me how you got that design on the white icing? I would love to know how to do that!

thank you!!
Sorry i just saw the replies. I used an impression mat to do the design on the buttercream. I've done this a few times. let it crust well, place the mat over the BC and use a roller or a fondant smoother over the mat to make sure it's imprinted well in the BC.
