I know I saw a thread on here a while back about what people used under their cakes. There were all kinds of suggestions. Does anyone know how to find it? If not, could you please give some different ideas for cake boards? I'm thinking maybe a large tile.

Are you talking about display stand to set your final peice on.

Large beveled mirror, you also get pre-cut boards from home-depot and put round balls underneath to raise cake from table.

Let see what everyone else comes up with.

For a party cake, I've used plywood wrapped with paper to match the theme, then covered in clear contact paper. My fiance has a sign company and has tons of plywood, so he will cut to my specs icon_wink.gif He's even going to cut me a heart-shaped one, bless him.

I have also read about the glass blocks, real cheap at Menards or Home Depot. [ Like what people have as their bathroom window, only flatter ]

Those are good ideas! I've also heard of using dolar store table clothes to cover the plywood. They come in a lot of colors to mach the cake or party.
