Oh, Berta, congratulations! You'll love it!
You don't need to bring anything. They will give you a bag of supplies--featherweight bags, couplers, spatula, etc. and a box of all of the tips you'll need for whatever the task. They'll also give you a 25% off coupon for the store good for the duration of the class, so bring $ or credit card--it's hard not to give into some temptations!
Wear old clothes and comfortable shoes. You can make coffee, tea, or hot chocolate in the break room. If you prefer real milk, just bring some from home. They have an honor system can for buying soda (.50) or bottled water (.75) and you can store food in the fridge or the freezer for lunch. There are several options for eating lunch in the shopping center. The Lemont Street Cafe is an excellent sit-down place. The HomeRun Pizza place has a nice reasonable lunch buffet, and Jonny's is right next door and has great hot dogs and Italian beef, salads, etc.
If you get the chance, check out the class schedule between now and then and stop in while a class is in session. During the week, you can meet Sandy Folsom the director and Tracey, her assistant. Introduce yourself--they'll make you feel right at home. Tell them Rae sent you!
Tell us all about it while you're going and post pics of your progress!
Rae
