Has anyone made their own silicone molds? I'm wanting to try it myself. Also, where did you purchase your silicone? Sugarcraft is out of it and doesn't know when they will get it. Chef Rubber is a bit expensive just to try it out. Any thoughts?
Thanks

I haven't made a lot of molds, but the product I use is Silicone Plastique. I ordered mine from www.culinart.net They also have other forms of silicone including a pourable variety, but I haven't tried these. It is a lot of fun making these molds, and it gets addicting. I keep looking around for other objects that would make good molds!

I just found that site and was wondering about it. I'll give it a try! Have you ever molded over fruit, like berries?

I have used Silicone Plastique from Culinart as well as Elastack, which is melted and poured over the object to be molded. The nice thing is it can be re-melted if you should decide not to keep that particular mold.
