I think that you might need to change some stuff on the website if you do incorporate others' cakes...

a suggestion ...
only do thumbnails on your site.
under thumbnail name of original decorator and site
then -- link the thumbnail and name back to the original site so when they click to it, it takes them to the original picture on the original decorator's site.
this will
a) save you lots of storage space
b) definitely make the person realize it's not your cake
c) give true credit where credit is due.
So many of you have such wondeful cakes! I had a hard time choosing. I have PM'ed all of those whose cakes I think I can recreate something similar from and made note of those whose cakes I want to strive to be as good as lol.
As for the website... I plan on changing all the other pages with the copywrite notice once I have the page up and running, I couldn't see changing 10 pages before getting people involved lol.
As for linking back to originals on CC, I thought about that, logged out of CC (as any customer wouldn't be a member already) and tried to view images and it wouldn't let me unless I joined. Not many people are going to join any site just to see photos... so I figured giving their name and then on my links page giving them a link to CC to give them the option to join for more photos that way they don't feel they HAVE to join CC just to look at photos ya know...
