I finally finished my brothers wedding cake. It was the most hectic, most stressful thing I have ever done, but it was also the most rewarding! My brother and new SIL loved it, everyone at the reception raved over how good it looked, and then after they tasted it, they raved over the flavor too. I know I couldn't have done this without this board. I used the WASC recipe that I found here, with a crusting BC that I smoothed using the Melvira method (OMG that was so much better than the Viva method)! I used MMF (also found here) on the accents. I must thank everyone who has ever posted on this website, since each of you had a part in making this cake a dream come true for my family! You can see the finished cake in my photos!

Well the cake came out lovely! Don't you just love it when you step back, look at the cake and it's finished. All of a sudden it's so worth all the stress and hard work. thumbs_up.gif

Congratulations on the fantastic job, I know you are so proud of yourself.

I've noticed that there are certain abbreviations that are used quite often but I have no idea what it is.

What does WASC mean, what is it and what does MMF mean?

Thanks.

Beautiful Cake! you did a terrific job, I'm sure they were thrilled with it.

WASC is White Almond Sour Cream (I believe it is a way to doctor a mix)

MMF is Marshmallow Fondant
