I made 2 cookie bouquets for my Mom to give as gifts. One is for her realtor and one is for people she knows (friends of a friend) who are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. I like the realtor bouquet, but am not crazy about the 25th anniv. one. The big gold cookies are bells and say "Happy 25th Anniversary" and the people's names. The back cookies are stacked wedding cakes, which I like. I think it's the bells that are throwing me off. Maybe too much gold for a silver anniversary? I don't know. Part of me says leave it (my Mom thought it was fine) and another part of me thinks I should make 2 new cookies to replace the bells and have them be white and silver. What would you do?

If I can't get the picture to attach to my post, it's in "my photos." Thanks for any opinions.

Very cute cookie bouquet but I like your idea of the silver bells with white. To me, gold is for 50th anniversary. I would go with your idea and make 2 new bells but silver.

Looks good overall. Great job!

HTH!

Thanks for responding! As I type there are 3 new cookies in the oven. They are actually hearts. I think I'll do them in white with silver lettering and outlining. I think I'll be happier with the bouquet. I could've done the bells, but they weren't thrilling me either...maybe b/c once the bouquet was wrapped, it was hard to tell that they were bells. I think the hearts will be good, will look like hearts, and will be the right colors for the occassion! Thanks again for your input!

I like that idea even better! Post a new picture once the bouquet is done.

Glad to help.

Yep- I like the heart idea. The bells kinda looked like headstones since you couldn't see the entire cookie YIKES!!!!

I think they are good. I second guess myself all the time & my hubby yells at me all the time cause I am always redoing cookies. But if you aren't happy with them then you aren't happy with them & it always makes me feel better to go back & redo them. Otherwise it will keep bugging you. Do what you feel is best. icon_smile.gif

I kinda thought the same thing... sorry. I like the silver bells idea and I would also use a straw to truly cut a hole through your cookie. I don't really like the look of the circle in frosting that is suppose to be the hole. KWIM? I know your end product will be great! thumbs_up.gif

Thanks for all of your posts. I did change the bouquet a bt and am happier with it now. It still isn't perfect, but it's better.

I don't know how to shrink it to attach it here si if you want to see the new version it is in my photos.

Thanks again.
