Today is my birthday and I thought I would share a couple of really fantastic finds that my husband gave me for my day. The first is a hand thrown cake plateau from Portugal. It was at TJ Maxx for only $20.00. It's 14 inches!!!! Woot!! Very pretty! The second is a silpat that he found at Marshalls for only $14.99, regularly $30.00!! And it's pink!!! Double Woot!!! Don't you just love it when you find great tools like this???? As for the rest of my birthday, we are taking the family to see "Live Fast, Die Hard".....Yay, Bruce Willis!! By the way, Bruce looks alot like my brother...who is also a cop! Weird but true!!

Yes hints....but sometimes he finds things for me on his own too. Yup he is keeper!
And the movie was GREAT!! You have to go and see it if you can! Best of the series!! And funny thing is as soon as we walked in the house, my look alike brother called to wish me a happy birthday!!
And I had an e-mail from my sister. She's all the way down in southern cali so I miss her terribly.
It was a good day all around. Now I have to put two of my kids on the plane to their dad for summer break for the next four weeks. I hate that, he's such a you-know-what!! Really he is.
Oh well. It's been a good birthday, even if I am old!! LOL

How lucky to have a hubby who shops for things that you can use and enjoy. Mine got me this laptop this past year....I really think it was for him, I have to beg to use it. I think he learned from last year tho. I worked at a local grocery deli, decorating the cakes. He ordered my cake from there. I had to decorate the cake!!! Later that evening, he came in and had the other lady to write on it. He made me make my own cake!!! Then he and the kids suprised me with it when I got home from work. Only frozen cakes and "standard book order" details on it. I woulda made myself something much more awesome! lol It was sweet that he thought to do something anyhow. Happy Birthday!
Yeah I am lucky! He does that once in a while!! I am way into Roosters, my whole kitchen is in them, and every once in a while he will come home with a new one for me. This of course makes my boys groan.....they think I'm obsessed!! LOL But I love them...and my husband knows that I do, so he adds to my collection when he finds something that he knows I will love. I'll post some of them sometime. One of them made into the pic with the cookie bouquet I did.

my husband wouldn't be caught dead in tjmaxx OR marshall's.....but they are my favorite places to shop....he hates the concept of 'hunting' for something...he's more the 'find it on the internet and click' kind of guy.
guess i'll have to start keeping an eye out more closely for such items!!!
