I am in course 3 and I am totally disappointed with my fondant roses. I think they are too thick and the petals don't seem to be places correctly. I would greatly appreciate any tips from more experienced decorators
ps- will they work better with mmf instead of the wilton fondant our instructor gave us (she really bought it for us, wasn't that sweet!)

I've scrapped the idea of fondant roses and gone straight to gumpaste. It's easier to work with...more flexible...can be rolled thinner.... sets up hard.... My best advice to you would be to find a gumpaste class OR buy the wilton gumpaste booka and a can of Wilton gumpaste and teach yourself. But definitely find a class if you can~~~~ too many tricks that aren't in anyone's book! Now let me back up....since you're in the class, you have to survive it! I did 100 fondant roses for the three tiered cake in my gallery. THAT is where I REALLY learned to do them. Over and over and over. I got tood. HANG IN THERE!
