I have a great recipe for oatmeal cookies but they always turn out so flat. What can I do to keep them thicker. Thanks for any help. icon_biggrin.gif

You may not know this but there is a cookie forum that might give you alot of help on cookies. I bake an excellent oatmeal cookie but it took me a few adjustments to keep them thick . One of the major things is moisture in the dough, if it is too wet they will flatten. Once you have achieved this I use a ice cream scoop to portion them, I do not flatten them. If your dough is right it will not droop after portioning. I also do not overbake, the cookies will continue to bake once you pull them out. I always pull them a little early so they will stay soft and chewy. I also use a convection oven they do not take as long to bake. Hope this helps.
