I have these cake stands that I want to use for a three tier wedding cake. They are rather heavy...

How do I do this? Do I put a foil-covered round block of wood? Or a glass? Or is this just a really bad idea?

TIA!

Let me clarify... cut a hole in the middle of the bottom and middle tiers to put the glass or foil covered block of wood??

How heavy are they exactly?

They're pretty darn heavy.

It is a bad idea, isn't it?

I think it would work if you aren't travelling with it. Try stacking it with the blocks of wood (lighter than glass) and see if it's stable. The cake should only help to stablize it.

Very pretty stands!
