All right-I have instructions to slick a dummy with Crisco before I cover it with fondant. I'm assuming this is so I can pull it off and use it again. If I slick up the dummy, what holds the fondant down? It just lifts back up. Please help!

I use piping gel

So if using piping gel, is that enough to slick it for you to get the fondant back off but sticky enough to keep it down? Sorry, I haven't done dummies before!

Yes, you just will have to soak it on hot water.

Piping gel should work well. Our instructor says she just spritzes with water then covers with fondant.

I covered mine with buttercream then piping gel then fondant....you don't see any of the styrofoam imperfections.

There are many sources for dummie rounds etc for such a good price, i DON'T PLAN ON PEELING OFF ANY OF MINE...
