i tried mmf for the first time on the pink proposal cake in my pics and it kept tearing when i tried to smooth it onto the cake and it wasn't very pliable so i didn't use it for the accents. i've used wilton's fondant before and i never had any problems. any tips on preventing this from happening?

did u knead it long enough? was it too hard? hard mmf tends to crack so maybe that was the reason...anyone else have any idea?
