Well I had an order for a baby shower cake and a Cinderella cake One was for today the other for July 6. Well I wrote the shower cake for today and the Cinderella for July 6. WRONG!!! She came to pick it up and said it was the wrong one and the little girl's party was starting. Good thing I had already started to bake her Cinderella. So I asked her if she could give me an hour. She said she would send someone from the party to pick it up. However she a wanted two layer cake and I had only baked one. I have also been working on a wedding cake so I used a 8 and 6 in for the bottom layer. I had just finished and was packing it when they arrived this was the fastest I have ever made this cake. It didn't turn out bad but if I had put more time into it it could have been better.
What a day!!!
Thanks for the compliment I was in extreme focus mode and my hand did cramp a little.
I told my DH that I think this one was the best I had ever made!!!
I think you did great and should be very proud of your work.
Great Job, especially in that short amount of time! You must work well under pressure ![]()
You did a beautiful job, in spite of the cake gods conspiring against you ![]()
MY mom said that there was something with the planets and it was going to last another week and a half and it would create alot of confussion she warned me to dot my I's and cross my T's. And I laughed at her. I guess I am the one to hang my head now. But on a good note I've started using a new system for organizing my orders. I bought a binder with eight tabs and wrote mon - sun on them and done on the last. Now each cake goes on a new page and under the day of the week it is due. When the cake is delivered I put it in the done section. We will see if this helps
