I just made a chat room for everyone. I some time like to spend my time learning from others and I thought this would be cool. If intrested pm me with your email adress so I can send and invite since its a private room for all types of cake decorators.

I think you'll find that you will usually get a quick response from CC too! It's important to remember that Jackie and Heath provide this great site to us for free so our continued support here is invaluable but I do see the value in being able to go private at times as well. 
I've never been to a chat room, but maybe somebody can help me to understand the advantage of one.
With a message board, we can post a question, lots of people see it immediately, if anyone has an answer they post it, and then other people can benefit from reading the questions and answers later.
If it's a board just for general chatting, maybe that could be fun, but I don't usually have the time for that.
There are forums here for general conversations as well, can anyone help me to understand the difference?

Personally I love CC it has alot more to offer than a chat room. Yet I hate to wait. I have put some post at the wrong times and waited a day to get a response. I also have this thing where I am in the middle of a recipe and need help and to post something a get a response an hour later would not do me very well. I wish cc would have a chat room for this reason. I also added this chat to talk about anything and everything. A chat room you get imidiate response as long as there is some one on. You will be typing back and forth. As for a forum you either have to check your emails and your post to see if anyone has posted anything. I am not saying its better than CC either. CC has great sources of communitcation, it is just my personal preferance and I have opened it to others. The chat room is only for chatting... you will not find galleries, recipes or products. It is just simply another form of talking just like an insatant message. Thank you.
