I made my dd's name in gum paste and want to paint it with luster dust. How do I go about that? Do I add a liitle water to a little bit of the luster dust, do I wait for the GP to dry first? This is the first time I've used gp or luster dust, so sorry for the stupid questions. Thank you, Kristen

I have only dry dusted gumpaste before it is dry. I would suggest to let it dry if you are planning on mixing something with your Luster Dust.

You need to mix your luster dust with either Vodka or Lemon Extract. You need something with a high alcohol content so it evaportes and dries quickly. For some reason the luster dust just doesn't mix right in water either.

Let your gumpaste piece dry first before painting with luster dust. Mix the dust with vodka/extract until it is paint consistency and use a soft, sable brush to apply.
