I need to make a snoopy cake for a little girl's birthday this weekend. I made her one a couple of years ago, but just drew Snoopy in the middle of a sheet cake and decorated with lattice around it. They liked it, but I would like to be more creative this time around. I've been looking in the gallery and only saw a couple of cakes (which surprised me!). Any ideas or inspirations would help. I am not very experienced at carving yet, but would give it a try. I would just like something more than plain Snoopy or him laying on his doghouse. Mostly because I hate red icing!

Heather - not far from us is the Charles Schulz Museum. You can go the website at www.Schulzmuseum.org and find some Snoopy ideas. It's the
"Summer of Joe Cool" at the museum, that version of Snoopy might be cute. You could also "google" Snoopy and get more ideas. Good luck, sounds like a fun cake!

What about a number cut-out with a buttercream transfer on it? I found an image that is an example of what I mean. I also found another cute picture of him in a party hat.

If you didn't want to cut-out the number you could just pipe the outline and fill in. Then lay the BCT on top.

The only other idea was a package cake "bursting open" with him popping out. I don't know if you do any fondant molding. Or is that moulding? icon_redface.gif

HTH!

Here is a picture of a Debbie Brown Snoopy cake.
There is some carving but I don't think it would be too hard and then the modelling shape of Snoopy:

Good Luck

Thank you. I have some Debbie Brown books, but not one with Snoopy. I also like the party had pictures. Gee, such good ideas, what to do...
