Hi all i usually bake my cakes from a box but i also have a lot of left over i usually will bake an extra cake or cupcakes and freeze them any other ideals

throw it away.... Make a trifle... make bourbon balls with dried cake crumbs... make cupcakes... freeze the cake for another occasion... sometimes I take a leftover cake, iced of course, and give it to the neighborhood fire station crew. Those guys love it!
another tip, bake them up in small cakes like 6 inch or of your choosing, and then if you know of a local 4H program,check in to see if they have a cake program going, and see if they would like to have some extra cakes donated, we work with alot of 4h groups where i live, i'm getting ready to head up one myself, first time leading one (cross your fingers!) and in this community there are alot of kids who can't afford everything they need for events,sports etc.
