Cupcakes Or Cookies

We have our first football game Friday night and I was going to make cupcakes or cookies. Our school colors are purple and gold and we are the Bulldogs. Here are my ideas,
Cookies:
In the shape of bone, colored purple & gold with music notes (it's for the band)

Cupcakes:
white cake mix 1/2 tinted purple and 1/2 tinted gold with the opposite color icing and music notes
Which would be easier?
I was going to do the cake, big sheet with purple & gold icing and Congrats SHS band but someone ordered it from Publix, if it is in their budget to do it for free......I feel a last minute cake coming

Cupcakes - quicker I think - less time, I'll say.
Cookies - more fun!

I vote cupcakes too! I can't envision a purple dog bone.

We just had our football family picnic last weekend and I made football cookies (no fail cookie dough but with Alice's icing). Since I made so many I just piled them up on a cookie sheet and then used my 'hairy tip' and piped green grass around the edges of my cookie sheet to look like the footballs were on grass. Everyone else 'bought' desserts, so mine were gobbled up fast and I got tons of compliments! Plus, I didn't have to worry about frosting being smooshed. Brownines and cookies were the #1 favorites.

I vote cookies, you can build on the colors and tint the dough purple if you want! If the kids are eating these before the game they may not want a real (potentially)messy thing such as a cupcake !

I would go with cookies...easy to handle, frosting hardens....dog bones sound cute decorate simply but in the school colors!

Instead of making cupcakes or cookies for our first football game, I made a cake. It was huge and took me a while but it was so much fun. I think I am going to make the band a cake for every home game we have. I don't think people realize how hard a marching band works, but let me tell you, it is long hours out in the heat practicing. This is what I cake up with. Let me know what you think.
