I am making my first wedding cake for July 7 and they want a square wedding cake to feed 50. If I do a 10 inch and 8in that by the serving charts is 64 servings (I am throwing th etop layer in free) the top layer would be 6 inches .... but that seems like it will be kinda small? They have a very basic design with a few BC roses draping down the sides, so it will not be a busy cake. It just to me seems like it still might be a bit small for a wedding? Whould I do maybe a 12, 10 and 8? (or maybe 12, 9, 6?) what would you do. this is for a friend so I don't mind throwing in a little bit at no extra charge, just so long as it isn't too much.

I would do a 6-9-12. I think that will be better looking than an 8-10-12 because the top will not be as wide - your cake will give the illusion of looking taller.

If you place this on a cake stand or one of Earlene's puff bases, that will add more height.
