Anybody out there knows what to use to paint or stamp onto fondant? Someone once told me to use liquid food coloring, which came out nice, but I want pastel colors...

Please help!! icon_cry.gif

to paint on fondant just mix your gel colors with some vodka/gin.

for stamping you can go here:

For stamping on fondant you need to use un-mounted stamps. See articles below. Mounted stamps are not food safe due to the glue used adhere to wood.

good place for un-mounted and arylic blocks.

I don't have a lot of experience in this area, but I did try stamping on MMF a few weeks ago and used my Americolors mixed with vanilla. It worked nice .

Thanks for the links.

I'm planning to make a LV purse cake later this month. I bought some foam board at Michael's to make the stamps. Does anyone have any tips/pointers?

I just posted a reply on the following thread regarding using unmounted rubber stamps. I'm wondering what others may know about using unmounted rubber stamps on food. I have read in several places that you CAN do that, however, when I discussed this with SweetStampen, she strongly, strongly discouraged the idea insisting that even unmounted rubber stamps are made of UN-safe food rubber icon_sad.gif . That really bummed me out because food safe rubber stamps are impossible to find!! If anyone has more information on food safe vs. unfood safe rubber availability please let us know.
