Do any of you guys have some good instructions for making a charm cake. I have never done one. Do you actually bake the charms in the cake?

easier to use frosting between layers and put them there before adding top layer..

or can just place under the bottom of the cake.

or can use a skewer to push them into the cake after it is made and frosted (then do a touch-up to the frosting)

A charm cake is usually a bridal shower cake. The bride will purchase charms for the bridesmaid and they are put into the cake with a ribbon attached and each bridesmaid gets to pull out her charm. At least that is my understanding of it.
