I swear I'm about to go back to Wilton!!!!

I have this blob of MMF that I made, I'm trying to get it to where I can roll it. I've kneaded it, microwaved it, colored it, crisco-ed it, kneaded it again, massaged it until my DH got jealous, and I still can't roll it. It's kinda like really stiff play-doh...kinda crumbly and I can't get it through my pasta roller without it breaking into a million pieces. I'm just trying to make a fondant bow for crying out loud!! icon_cry.gif

I made this batch about 6 weeks ago and it's been sealed extra well (used a foodsaver and then another ziploc bag!). It was a little hard when I opened it back up but after microwaving it (which had its own problems....can you say hotspot boys & girls) it was pliable again.

Now....I also have this blob of horrible Wilton fondant which went through my pasta roller just beautifully.

Can anyone help diagnose this problem?

I might post some pics of what it is looking like, if I can find my camera.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry I can't help you with this, but I'm giving you a BUMP as I crack up at you massaging your MMF until the hubby got jealous!! LOL

IF it is cracking & falling apart - could it be that it might need a little more water?

I'd crisco it! icon_lol.gif

My first batch turned out like that...it took a LOT of crisco to get it to the workable stage...and I mean a lot....I sat there for an hour kneading in more and more, till it wasn't crumbly anymore...since then I use less powdered sugar, and add gumtex to the mixture...cuts down a lot on the need for crisco.
