I have never made one..... is it hard, do I need a cutter, fondant or gum paste ....... or just skip it and go with silk ? I need it for this Saturday..... TIA

I believe you can just use a heart-shaped cookie cutter. Here are the instructions from Wilton:

It looks pretty easy, even though I have not tried one yet. Good Luck!!!

A calla lily is one of the easiest flowers you can make with a sugar medium. I would do it with gumpaste or 50/50 gumpaste/fondant.

They were my first gum-paste flowers and now I want to learn more! (Cone paper cups are a God-send).

one of the easiest and pretty for being so easy!

i also did a cake with calla lilies, the basket of flowers cake in my pics. i bought a cutter but i dont honestly think i needed one, the cutters i have are small and though te right size for this cake not as big as i would usually like. i would freehand them if i did it again and save my pennies!
