My dd wants a marble cake for her 5th grade graduation cake. She loves the WBH white butter cake. How do I make that into a marble cake? Do I just add cocoa powder to a little bit of batter? Thanks so much, Kristen

melt 2 oz of semisweet chocolate and stir it into 2/3 cup batter. Do more at the same ration if you like a more marbled effect.

Hmmm I havent tried melting chocolate before...I'll give it a try.

What I have done though, is getting 1 cup of batter (I guess you could use more) and put it in a separate bowl. Then mixing that bowl of batter with a pack of cocoa powder...

I've just found the chocolate gives a darker marble, which is especially pretty in a white cake.
