Hi
I am making one in 2 weeks. I attached a picture so you can see it.
I dont remember where i got the picture, but I think is cute and pretty easy. I am going to use 2-6in round cakes, put buttercream between them and cut a straight line on one of the sides so the purse can be standing up.
Make a thin crum coat with buttercream.
Then roll out the fondant and cut 2 6in circles and with a little bit of piping gel glue them to the sides of the purse.
Cut a strip of fondant to cover the rest of it.
Make some thin strings of fondant by hand or with a cookie press and glue them (with water or vanilla) to the purse covering the seems.
Make the handle in advance with a mixture of gumpaste with fondant, or fondant with gumtex so it'll dry hard. (make stitching marks with the fondant embosser)
Also make in advance the flower using a big daisy cut out and make leaves using gumpaste/fondant.
Attach the handle to the purse and add the little details and use gold luster dust to paint the details.

Share with use a picture whatever you decide to make!
It is going to be also my first purse, that is why I decide to do a simple one.
Good luck!
LL

Menufares,
How do you paint the gold lustre dust to get it so shiny and smooth? It actually looks like meta. I know you haven't done the cake yet, but you must know how you are going to do it.
