I hope I can explain this situation. I have this lady from three hours away that wants me to make her grandson a cake for his first birthday. She just wants a race track with cars. The problem is the party is the 13thof Sept and we are meeting up at a party on the 25th of August.
I am wondering if I can make a cake freeze it and give it to her at the party and then she somehow takes it three hours down to her house and then put it in her freezer for three weeks? I plan to make the cake itself the 24th and then I thought maybe I should just refridge it and then refridge it again at the party til the lady leaves and then she can freeze it at home at her house?
That would be better than me freezing it and giving it to her right?
I hope this makes sense.......I am confused myself by reading this but I am having a hard time wording it.
Thanks,
Mandy
I would say to stick it in the freezer at your house so it is safer for that long of a transport, then put it in the freezer if possible that house where the party is as well. She should also freeze it when she gets home. Cake does thaw awful fast though so she and you should think about a way to keep it near frozen in a cooler or something for the travel.
