I'm designing a cake for an open house that my sister in law is helping with. I have a design but she is having a hard time invisioning it. I tried to find a cake that was similar to show her but I couldn't find one. I want to do a carved(diagonal sides) 8 inch 3 layers tall square and a 12 inch square done the same way stacked. Then with dots, the same size, uniformily going straight across the cakes all the way down with the dots gradually changing in color, going from light pink to dark pink. Then I am going to add a few whimsy roses that are oversized. If you have seen a cake similar to this can you send me a link. The shape, color, or flowers don't have to be the same. She's is just having hard time invisioning the dots and there gradual color change. Thanks for any help!

That sounds like a pretty description though. If you find one... please post it on this thread. Good luck!

Doug- Your awsome! That is almost it! The color will gradually change from top all the way down to the bottom tier. I don't know if I can word what I'm trying to say but the dots are off by one or slide the dots one space on the second row and then slide them back on the next row. Does that make any sense at all? I think that is one place I lost her and the color issue. The top tier is turned a different angle then the bottom too.

Thanks a million Doug!

Thanks for all the help! In the end they decided on random dots instead. Oh well. There is a pic in my gallery if you want to see it. Thanks again for your help!
