I apologize in advance if this question has been asked and I missed it. But I was wondering if the same printer can be used for regular documents/pictures and for edible pictures if two separate cartridges were used, and changed according to the task required. In other words, if one print head was used only with the edible ink, and one other print head used for regular work. Would there still be contamination of the edible ink pictures?

No...the inks get into the internal components so there's still the risk of cross-contamination.
