I'm gonna try my hand at MMF soon. Everything I read in Wilton says to add Gum-tex to their stuff as it's supposed to make it more pliable. anybody done that to the MMF recipe?

I think you only need gumtex to make it dry hard. Like if you are going to make roses or bows you should add it. If you are covering a cake you don't need it.

Then I probably should use it. I'm molding an umbrella using the sportsball pan. THANKS!!

okay, dumb question...what if you are trying to do something kind of flat out of MMF? Like stars, with a cookie cutter-type thing?

thanks!

Kate714 - what about doing something flat? If your asking if you need to add gumtex to it.....no you dont. You could I guess if you wanted to, but all the gumtex is causes to to dry hard, as 2yummy said. DOes that answer your question?
