And I have just finished cutting them out (170 of them, mind you...) and I realized that I totally forgot to add baking powder to my recipe icon_eek.gif . Um...is this a bad thing? icon_confused.gif

I think I have read on here that its ok, but I cannot seem to find the thread that mentions this or not. Any advise? Are these ok to bake or do I need to start again? icon_cry.gif

Well since they are already done I would suggest baking a few and see how they turn out.

I'm going to stick my first pan in, but was wondering if this is an ingred. that is ok to leave out. I know BP is a leavening agent that causes lift...but I am just afraid that they may be way to flat...

Baking powder is a leavening agent so the only that they won't do is spread too much.

Phew...thats good to know...

If these turn out, maybe I'll do it this way all of the time.

I've meant to come back and post my results on here, but too many things going on this week...lol

IMO I think they turned out great, I didnt notice really any difference other then they were not as fat (puffy I guess sounds better) and no difference in taste. So maybe I'll "accidently' leave out the baking powder all of the time...lol icon_smile.gif
